Panama Canal Cuts Daily Ship Limit ⚓
The Panama Canal has reduced its daily ship limit from 32 to 31 due to a drought affecting freshwater supply for locks. Typically, it handles 36 to 38 daily ships. Nine NeoPanamax locks and 22 older Panamax locks will be allowed. The Canal Authority ensures a 44-foot draft, essential for 70% of ships. The drought also impacts the freshwater supplies for Panama City, housing half of the country's population.

Sunset Logistics Shuts Down 🚚😔
Sunset Logistics, operating in Grand Rapids, Michigan, has suddenly closed, leaving around 90 employees without their final paychecks and escrow. Financial struggles dating back to March and personal investments from the owner have been cited as reasons for the closure. The Gainey family, known in the transportation industry, owns the company. As of the publication date, there has been no comment from the company owner, Harvey N. Gainey III. 😔💼
