Effective May 26th of this year 2024, BCOs are now responsible for detention and demurrage fees, with the published final FMC rule on Detention and Demurrage.

But here's the kicker - they've got a 30-day window to dispute any charges. And, MTOs have a choice now. They can either release the cargo and bill later, or they can allow disputes even after the cargo is out. And that is where BlueCargo comes in as a necessary resource for all BCOs.
